Filtering and sorting
Narrow a table down to the records you need, and sort by more than one rule.
In Syncek, filters decide which records a table shows and sorts decide their order. Both live in the bar above any table, and both are saved automatically in the view you have open. A record shows only when it meets every condition, and the operators on offer depend on the attribute's type.
Adding a filter
Each condition is a chip you can click to edit. Add several and a record has to satisfy all of them.
The operators offered depend on the attribute's type. Text offers contains, starts with and ends with. Numbers offer greater than, less than and between, and dates offer before, after and between. A select offers is, is not, is any of. Almost everything offers is empty, which is what finds the records somebody left half-filled.
A date filter is what finds the accounts that went quiet. Which bands to use is a decision about your client list rather than about the filter bar.
Filtering on part of a value
An attribute made of parts can be filtered on one part alone, so "every account in Spain" is a filter on the country inside the address.
This is the reason to pick the specific type rather than a text field. A city inside a proper address is a filter. A city typed into text is a search.
Sorting and searching
Sort rules apply in order, and you drag them to change which wins. Each is ascending or descending on its own.
The search box looks inside the records you are already looking at. Filter for a set you will come back to, search for one record now.
