Board view
Show an object's records as cards in columns, one per stage or option, and move a record by dragging its card to another column.
A board in Syncek shows an object's records as cards in columns, one column for each option of a Stage or Select attribute. Dragging a card to another column changes that value on the record. Leads and Opportunities come with a board called By Stage, and Contacts and Accounts with one called By Status, all in the view selector above the table.
Creating a board
Open the view selector and choose Create new view. Name it, pick Kanban under Type, and choose the Grouping attribute, which can be any Stage or Select attribute of the object. If the object has neither, Kanban cannot be picked.
A table cannot turn into a board, so create a new view instead. A board cannot be the default view either. To group an existing board by another attribute, open View settings, then Group by.
Moving cards
Drag a card to another column and Syncek saves the new value on the record. Drag it up or down to change its place in the column. Dropping a card clears the board's sort, so the cards stay where you put them. Records with no value sit in No Stage, which shows only while it holds records.
Hover a card to edit the record with the pencil or open its page with the arrow. The + on a column header creates a record already in that column.
Cards and columns
- View settings, then Visible card fields: switch on the fields a card shows and drag them into order.
- New stage, after the last column, adds an option to the attribute.
- The menu on a column header moves, relabels, hides or deletes the column. Edit field label renames it on this board only.
- Delete stage removes the option from the attribute, so it disappears from every view. Syncek asks where to move the records still in it, but counts only those the board's filters and search let through, so clear them first.
On a board grouped by a Stage attribute, each card shows how long the record has
been in its stage, such as 3d. Track time in stage, in the column menu,
turns it off for that column.
Filters, sorts and search work on a board. It has no calculation footer and no export button.
