Personal settings
Your picture, name, week start, light or dark mode, table row height and time format, and where each one lives in Settings.
Personal settings in Syncek belong to you rather than to the workspace: your picture and name, the day your week starts, light or dark mode, how tall table rows are, and whether times read 3:00 PM or 15:00. Everyone can change their own, whatever their role, under Settings, then Personal. The quickest way in is the workspace menu at the top of the sidebar, then Settings, which opens your Profile.
Profile
Settings, then Personal, then Profile holds:
- Picture: upload a photo (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP, up to 10 MB), or click Customize avatar to build an illustrated one. A photo shows in place of an illustrated avatar, and saving an illustrated avatar removes the photo.
- Name: First Name and Last Name, saved as you type.
- Email: the address you sign in with, marked Verified or Not verified. It cannot be changed here. If it is not verified yet, Resend email sends the confirmation link again.
- Linked accounts: the ways you sign in, such as Email / Password, Google or GitHub. See Signing in and passwords.
- Time preferences: Preferred Timezone, and Start week on, the first day of the week in Syncek's date pickers.
Appearance
Settings, then Personal, then Appearance applies each choice as soon as you click it:
- Color scheme: Light, Dark, or System to follow your device.
- Table density: Compact or Extended, the height of table rows in objects, emails and notes.
- Time format: 3:00 PM or 15:00.
They are saved on your account rather than in the browser, so they follow you to another computer.
The rest of Personal
- Security holds your password, and Devices lists the browsers signed in to your account. See Signing in and passwords.
- Integrations is where you connect your mailbox. See Connect Gmail.
- Notifications is marked (soon) and has nothing to set yet.
Settings that change a workspace for everyone, such as its name, sit under Workspace and belong to Admins and the Owner. See Workspaces and organizations.
